DD2 is one of those games that is super fun and easy to get into, but quickly exhausts all that it has and you’re bored after a few playthroughs. You play as Flo whose friend’s diner that is going out of business. You have to seat, take orders, fill orders, give out checks, clean up the tables, and mop up messes, and give high chairs to screaming babies. Each table has a certain number of chairs so you have to decide who sits where. Families may come in, parties may come in, and even single people.
When you start out there is only one table so you seat the guests, wait for them to call you, you take their order, hand it to the chef, give them their food, give them their check, clean up there table, but as the levels progress there are more and more tables. Each action is assigned to a button to this makes things not-so-frustrating. Everything is simple and quick and very easy to get into. You can also take two things at once and if you do this your score racks up higher. You need to hit your daily goal to pass and if you do even better you get an expert score. What makes DD2 so fun is how fast it plays and it gets you thinking quick.
There is some strategy involved so you can help the neediest guests without them leaving the diner. If they get too bad you can serve them some espresso in the later levels. While there are only 10 levels you’ll come back to get the expert scores, but after that, you’re going to move on. The graphics are really good and are reminiscent of the PC version and there are more sounds in here than in most Java mobile games. If you loved the PC version the mobile version is no different but is great for killing time in lines, at work, or even on the bus.
